Privacy Policy

Date of Last Revision: April 14, 2024

Protecting your privacy is a top priority for us. This Privacy Policy outlines how we gather, use, protect, and disclose personal information and log data when you utilize the InWeatherTomorrow website at www.inweathertomorrow.com ("Site") or any other services, features, tools, software, or applications offered through the Site, including the InWeatherTomorrow browser plug-in and the InWeatherTomorrow Application for Apple® iPhone®, iPod touch®, and iPadTM (collectively referred to as "Services").

Our Privacy Policy addresses the following key points:
  • What information do we collect from you, and how do we use it?
  • Will we share your personal information with third parties?
  • What security measures do we have in place to protect your personal information?
  • Who can you contact if you have questions about this Privacy Policy?

By using the Site or Services, you agree to abide by this Privacy Policy. Please note that we may sell the personal information you provide to us and collaborate with third-party businesses to offer exclusive retail opportunities to our members via direct mail, email, and telemarketing.

Managing Your Information Preferences

You have the option to review, correct, update, or modify your personal information at any time. This includes opting out of our direct marketing communications. You can make these changes by adjusting the relevant settings in your InWeatherTomorrow profile or account (if applicable) or by contacting us via email at [email protected]. If you have any questions or concerns about our Privacy Policy, please feel free to reach out to us at [email protected].

Information We Collect

Registration and Your Personal Profile

When you register on the Site or for the Service, you provide us with specific personal details such as a username (which may or may not be your real name), email address, gender, zip/postal code, and date of birth. Providing this information is optional, but if you choose not to, you may not have access to certain features of the Site or Services.

Using the Site or Services allows you to create a personal profile by sharing general information about yourself, including the URL of your website, your blog's address, and a mood message. Additionally, while using the Site or Services, you can establish relationships, send messages to friends and other users, conduct searches, create groups, add applications, comment on specific content, and share information through various channels.

Cookies

Similar to many other websites, we utilize "cookies" in specific areas of the Site to deliver targeted information based on your interests and enhance your online experience. Cookies are small pieces of data that a website sends to a visitor's browser and are stored on the visitor's hard drive. We use cookies for the following purposes:

  • Storing a user's login identity to keep your session active unless you manually log out
  • Recording the programming or advertisements you were viewing when you last visited the Site
  • Keeping track of any widgets or additional applications you have installed

Certain third parties may also set and read cookies in your browser. More details on this can be found in the section titled "Third Parties Who Collect And Receive Your Information."

You have the option to decline the use of cookies by adjusting your browser settings. However, please note that disabling cookies may limit the functionality of the Site or Services.

Log Information

We also monitor your engagement with the Site, the Services, and fellow users. Specifically, our servers automatically log information that your browser sends each time you access the Site or Services. This data includes your Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, the features you utilize and their durations, the programming and advertisements you view and share with others, the duration of your viewing, your browsing history within the Site and Services (including any internal links clicked), your search history, and your social connections such as friends and joined groups.

Slurping

You can connect with friends from various networks like Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, AOL, Gmail, LinkedIn, Hotmail, Netlog, and Yahoo on the Site.

The Site will identify the email addresses of your friends in these networks. If any of them are already InWeatherTomorrow® users, we'll give you the option to connect as friends on InWeatherTomorrow®, and if you agree, a friend request will be sent via email. For friends who are not InWeatherTomorrow® users, you can invite them to join. You'll select the friends you want to invite, and InWeatherTomorrow will send one email per friend inviting them to visit the Site and sign up as a InWeatherTomorrow® user. If any friends accept your invitation and become InWeatherTomorrow® users, you'll have the chance to connect as friends on InWeatherTomorrow®.

Once this process is done and any email invitations are sent, your friends' email addresses will be removed from our servers (unless they register separately on InWeatherTomorrow®). We won't keep or use these email addresses for any other purpose or contact your friends unless you request it.

If your email address is in someone else's network, InWeatherTomorrow may use it for the same purposes mentioned above.

Children's Privacy

We do not intentionally gather personal information from children under the age of 13. By utilizing our Site or Services, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old. If we discover that we have unintentionally obtained personal information from a child under 13, we will remove that information from our records. Furthermore, we advise minors who are 13 years of age or older to seek permission from their parents before sharing any information about themselves online.

Information We Use

In general, the information you provide is utilized to process your user registration and to enhance, personalize, and offer the Site and Services. Additionally, we use automatically collected server data to monitor user interactions with the Site and Services, and to continuously improve them. Furthermore, we may sell the personal information you provide and collaborate with third-party businesses to present tailored opportunities to our members through direct mail, email, and telemarketing, based on the information we gather from you.

Email address

If you register with the Site or the Services, we may use your email address for the following purposes:

  • Sending email newsletters to keep you informed about programming on the Site.
  • Sending other email communications to update you about InWeatherTomorrow Features and Site functionality, such as upgrades, new features, and available functionality.
  • Inviting you to participate in surveys aimed at improving the Site and Services.
  • Responding to or confirming your requests or activities on the Site.
  • Notifying you of activities initiated by your friends or group members, such as friend requests, messages, or shared videos.
  • Informing you about other InWeatherTomorrow® users with similar interests.
  • Notifying you of service issues, unusual account actions (like password resets), and inappropriate conduct, including account suspension or deletion if necessary.
  • Delivering advertisements and promotions from third parties that may interest you, based on the information we've collected from you.

By registering with the Site or the Services, you consent to receiving these communications, but have the right to unsubscribe from receiving future emails at any time (see below).

Other Personal Information

We may use personal information that you provide, or that we learn about you, to:

  • Provide personalized recommendations on programming based on your viewing history.
  • Ensure that the advertisements you see align with your interests, considering factors like your viewing history, location, age, and gender.
  • Personalize the Site to reflect your specific interests more accurately.
  • Attribute your comments, ratings, and contributions to you.
  • Maintain your social connections, including friends and groups.
  • Suggest new social connections by notifying you of users with similar tastes and vice versa.

By providing personal information, you agree to allow us to use and share your information with third parties for marketing purposes. Additionally, we will use this information to promptly and efficiently address inquiries and requests, as well as to improve our service offerings for our users.

Messaging

Additionally, both we and other users who control the groups you join can send you messages through the Site or the Services, especially through the "Feed" on your dashboard. These messages may cover updates on programming, special events, or events within your groups. You can manage your receipt of these messages through your personal settings on the Site or the Services.

Unsubscribe

If you no longer wish to receive emails or announcements from us, you can opt-out by clicking the specified link in any email communication, adjusting your personal settings on the Site, or contacting us at [email protected]. Please note that certain correspondence related to your account cannot be unsubscribed from. To stop receiving emails from a specific third party, you can opt-out by clicking the specified link in their email. Unsubscribing from one party's advertisements won't stop emails from other third parties.

Sharing of Information

We may sell or rent your email address or other personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. Additionally, we share your information in the following ways:

With Other Users

Your profile information will be visible to other Site or Services users. You can choose not to make your profile public by using the "Public Profile" option in your profile settings.

We will share information about your Site activity and Services usage in the "Feed" on your dashboard, your friends' dashboards, any groups you're in, RSS feeds subscribed to by your friends and group members, and a public feed on the Site's home page. You can opt not to have your activities published by using the "Stealth Mode" option in your profile settings.

Any information you post or share through the Site or Services, like your personal profile, comments, messages, favorite programming, or other content, is at your own risk. Note that disclosing personal information in your profile or posts may make it publicly available.

As Aggregated Data

We may use your personal information to provide aggregated analyses to potential partners, investors, and other third parties. Statistical and demographic user information, along with usage of the Site and Services, may be shared with advertisement and programming suppliers. We may also use and disclose de-identified user information. None of this would reveal your offline identity or individual details.

With Service Providers

At times, we may use third parties to manage parts of the Site or the Services, handle advertisement administration and delivery, assist in our business operations (e.g., hosting servers), manage communications with you, conduct advertising audits, carry out surveys, or provide other services related to the Site or the Services. When these third parties handle information on our or your behalf, we require them to comply with this Privacy Policy (to the extent applicable) and maintain strong security measures, ensuring they don't use your information for any purposes beyond serving us. If these third parties need to collect personal information directly from you, they must do so under an effective and publicly available privacy policy (see below - Third Parties Who Collect and Receive Your Information). Please note that InWeatherTomorrow is not responsible for their adherence to such policies.

In such a scenario, your personal information would remain subject to this Privacy Policy.
